Ambrogi Strategic Media is the consulting firm of Robert J. Ambrogi, a lawyer and media professional known internationally for his expertise in new media and technology. Bob is the only person ever to hold the top editorial positions at the two leading national U.S. legal newspapers, the National Law Journal and Lawyers USA.

At American Lawyer Media in New York, the nation’s largest legal journalism company, he was editorial director of its Litigation Services Division. Earlier, as director of the ALM News Service, he founded a daily wire service reporting legal news and cases from all 50 U.S. states. At Boston-based Lawyers Weekly Publications, Bob was founding editor of Lawyers USA and editor-in-chief of the company’s flagship newspaper, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.

Bob has been writing and speaking about lawyers’ and the Internet for more than a dozen years. He is author of two books and his articles and columns have been published in periodicals throughout the world. He founded the first Internet newsletter for lawyers, legal.online, in 1994, and has written the monthly Web Watch column for Law Technology News since 1999.

After serving as vice president of editorial services for the legal marketing and media firm Jaffe Associates, Ambrogi returned to law practice. He continued to provide editorial, media and marketing services to law firms and legal vendors on his own before launching Ambrogi Legal Media in 2008.

In 2011, Ambrogi was named to the inaugural Fastcase 50, “honoring the law’s smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries & leaders.”
